HOW TO PLAY

FREE SOLITAIRE

Free Solitaire game found its popularity through Microsoft Windows software platform. The single-player game uses two decks of cards during its execution. An understanding of Spider Solitaire basics starts with examining its playing area. Three different areas constitute the complete field set-up.

The Spider Solitaire playing field: the stock, the foundation, and the tableau

The main objective of playing Spider Solitaire requires moving all cards from the tableau to the foundation. The arrangement of cards in the tableau must start with the King followed by descending order according to suit up to the Ace in each suit. The completed sequences will continue to the foundation automatically while allowing you to begin new sequences which pile until all blocks have been cleared from the tableau.

Free Solitaire presents three levels: 1 colour as the easiest mode and 2 colours as more challenging than 4 colours which serves as an extreme challenge. This level is exclusively for experts in Solitaire. The gameplay rules for Level 1 function in an independent manner compared to Level 2 and Level 3.

1 suit

This is our beginner's level. The game is played using only the spades suit. The card movement rules in this game do not require any attention to color elements. The fundamental rule to play Spider Solitaire requires placing cards only on those with higher value points by 1.

How to play and move cards in the Spider Solitaire game

For example, The 2 of Spades can be placed onto the 3 of Spades but only in this specific sequence (refer to illustration). Multiple cards can move simultaneously as long as their sequence starts from the lower left card and increases by one point for each successive card. A sequence of three adjacent Spade cards starting with the 7 then 6 then 5 allows you to transfer them simultaneously into a vacant 8. After moving any face-down card its underlying card automatically becomes visible. The undo button allows you to return settings to the previous step while you have the freedom to insert any card into available empty spaces.

2 and 4 Suits free Solitaire rules

You implement this sorting method similarly to solitary with one suit but must factor in card colors during the play. While playing with 2 or 4 suits you can move any card to another that is higher in rank by one point no matter what color it is. A Jack of Clubs may be moved onto a Queen of Hearts. In order to move complete sequences to the foundation you need to fit them according to the same suit. During the beginning of play it makes sense to group cards by color to maximize the arrangement.

The player receives the cards from the stock.

Proceed with new card distribution whenever you exhaust all possible card movements. You must carry out this operation after all columns contain at least one card. A new deal can only occur when all empty positions have received cards.
